What's included

  • Tenant setup and migration
  • Multi-factor authentication and conditional access policies
  • Email security and anti-phishing configuration
  • SharePoint and Teams structure and governance
  • License management and cost review
  • Backup for Microsoft 365 mail, files, and Teams data
  • Copilot readiness review

How it works

  1. Assess: we audit your current tenant configuration and licensing.
  2. Onboard: security baselines and MFA are applied first.
  3. Stabilize: Teams, SharePoint, and permissions get cleaned up and documented.
  4. Optimize: license costs are reviewed and right-sized.
  5. Plan: we advise on Copilot and new Microsoft 365 features as they become relevant.

Who it's for

Businesses already on, or moving to, Microsoft 365 who want it secured and properly administered rather than left on default settings.

Plans

Included in managed IT plans or available standalone. Request a quote for your tenant size.

The tenant most businesses inherit

A Microsoft 365 tenant set up by whoever signed up first, years ago, usually looks like this: the owner's account is the global admin and is used for email every day, MFA is "available" but not enforced, legacy authentication is still allowed, external forwarding is on, nobody has looked at the audit log, and there are a dozen unused licenses being paid for every month. It works, right up until one phished password gives an attacker the whole business.

We fix that in the first two weeks, then keep it fixed.

What a secured tenant looks like

  • Separate admin accounts, protected by MFA, never used for mail
  • MFA enforced for every user through conditional access, with legacy protocols blocked
  • Anti-phishing, safe links, and safe attachments policies tuned for your business
  • External forwarding rules blocked and alerts on new inbox rules
  • Audit logging retained and reviewed
  • SharePoint and Teams structured so the right people see the right files, and former users' data is retained
  • Licensing right-sized every quarter

Migrations without the bad Monday

Moving from Google Workspace, an on-premise Exchange server, or a GoDaddy-hosted tenant is a project we run regularly for Sarasota-area practices and firms. Mail, calendars, contacts, and files move in stages, DNS cuts over after hours, and staff arrive to the same mailbox in a new place. We stay on site the first morning.

Backup is not retention

Microsoft keeps deleted items for a limited window and offers no point-in-time restore for a ransomware event or a malicious deletion. We add a dedicated Microsoft 365 backup covering mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams, with retention you control.

Copilot, honestly

Copilot for Microsoft 365 can save real time for people who write a lot: proposals, summaries, meeting notes. It also surfaces every file a user has access to, which in a tenant with sloppy permissions means it surfaces things it shouldn't. We do a permissions and data-governance review before any Copilot rollout, then pilot it with the two or three people who'll benefit most. More on how we approach AI.

What it costs

Microsoft 365 management is included in our managed plan. Migrations are quoted per project. Licensing is billed at Microsoft's price with no markup games.

How it works

How we onboard every service

Every client goes through the same five steps, so nothing depends on guesswork and you always know what comes next.

We document every device, account, and risk on your network, typically within the first week.

  2. 2

Urgent issues get fixed and monitoring goes live within 30 days.

  3. 3

    Stabilize

Recurring problems are root-caused, not just patched over.

    Optimize

Performance and security are tuned month over month.

  5. 5

    Plan

Quarterly reviews tie your IT budget to where your business is headed.

Questions we hear

Frequently asked questions

Don’t see your question? Call us and a real person will answer.

Can you migrate us from Google Workspace or on-premise Exchange?

Yes. Migration planning and execution is part of this service, scheduled to avoid disrupting your team.

Will you enforce MFA for our whole team?

Yes, and we handle the rollout so it doesn't disrupt your staff.

Do you manage our licenses so we're not overpaying?

Yes. License review is part of ongoing Microsoft 365 management.

Is Copilot worth it for a business our size?

It depends on your workflows. Our vCIO sessions include an honest Copilot readiness review.

Do you handle backup for Microsoft 365 separately?

Yes. Native Microsoft retention is not a full backup, so we configure a dedicated backup solution.

What Microsoft 365 security settings should every small business have on?

Enforced MFA for all users, conditional access blocking legacy authentication and risky sign-ins, anti-phishing and safe-attachment policies, audit logging on, admin accounts separated from daily-use accounts, and external forwarding disabled. Most tenants we inherit have fewer than half of these.

We're on Business Standard. Do we need Premium?

Often, yes. Business Premium includes the conditional access, device management, and advanced email protection that make the tenant genuinely secure. We'll tell you if Standard is enough for your situation.
