Office, trailer, and truck: we keep your estimators, project managers, and field crews connected and your payments protected across Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties.

Built for how construction actually works

Southwest Florida's building boom runs on companies that started with a truck and a phone and grew into an office, a yard, several trailers, and crews across three counties. The IT usually grew the same way: one more laptop, one more shared login, one more Wi-Fi network nobody remembers setting up. It holds together until a laptop is stolen from a truck, a server dies the week of a bid, or a fake email redirects a six-figure draw.

We manage the office, the trailers, and the devices in the field as one system, with security built in and one flat monthly price per user. Local builders and roofers, including a Sarasota custom home builder and a Sarasota roofing contractor, rely on us to keep their offices and crews running.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Evan (the owner), Mark (support), and the rest of the team for more than a half decade now and we are still client's of theirs and look forward to being so for a long time. Guru's have always been there for us in all of our times of IT needs and I couldn't recommend them more for their services and also their friendship over the years. There is never a doubt when you hire the Guru's!!"

Wire fraud is the biggest risk

Construction is one of the most common targets for business email compromise because large payments move on a predictable schedule between owners, GCs, subs, and suppliers. The attack is simple: an attacker gets into one mailbox, waits for a pay application or invoice, and sends "updated" banking details from a real or look-alike address.

What we put in place:

  • Email security that flags look-alike domains and impersonation
  • Multi-factor authentication on every mailbox, including the owner's
  • Alerts on suspicious mailbox rules and sign-ins from unusual places
  • SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on your domain so attackers can't send as you
  • A written call-back procedure for any change to payment instructions, and staff training so people actually follow it

What we manage for contractors

  • Office network, Wi-Fi, firewall, and printers, including large-format plotters
  • Job trailer internet, Wi-Fi, and security, set up and torn down per project
  • Laptops, tablets, and phones for estimators, PMs, and superintendents, enrolled and remotely wipeable
  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace with shared project folders and permissions that match your org chart
  • Support for estimating, project management, accounting, and design software
  • Tested backups of your accounting data, bids, plans, and project files, with a written recovery plan
  • 3CX cloud phones so calls reach PMs and supers on their cell phones with the company number

Storm-ready

Hurricane season is also when crews are busiest. Every managed client gets off-site backups, a written recovery plan, and phones and email that work from anywhere. Before a storm we check in; after it, we're on the road as soon as it's safe so your office is running while you're getting crews back to work.

Getting started

A free IT and compliance assessment is a 60-minute on-site visit and produces a written report of gaps and priorities, including a check of your email domain for the weaknesses attackers use in payment fraud. No cost, no obligation.

Questions we hear

Frequently asked questions

Don’t see your question? Call us and a real person will answer.

Do you work with other construction companies?

Yes. Our construction clients include a Sarasota custom home builder and a Sarasota roofing contractor.

Do you support construction software like Procore, Sage, or Bluebeam?

Yes. We support the computers, networks, and accounts these applications run on, keep them updated and backed up, and work with the vendor when something breaks. Common examples are Procore, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage 300 CRE, Foundation, QuickBooks, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.

Can you set up internet and Wi-Fi in a job trailer?

Yes. We set up cellular or fixed wireless internet, a firewall, and Wi-Fi for trailers and temporary offices, managed the same way as your main office, and take it down when the job closes.

How do contractors get hit by cyberattacks?

Most often through email. Attackers take over a vendor's or employee's mailbox, watch for a draw or invoice, then send new wiring instructions. We put email security, MFA, and a payment verification process in place to stop it.

Can you manage tablets and phones for our field crews?

Yes. We enroll company devices so they can be secured, updated, located, and wiped if lost, and give field staff access to plans, email, and timekeeping without exposing company data.

What size contractor do you work with?

Typically companies with 8 to 150 people in the office and field who use company computers, tablets, or email.
